2319 – Pink Floyd – Two suns in the sunset (1983)

 

Escrita por Roger Waters, foi gravada entre julho e dezembro de 1982. Foi lançada em 21 de março de 1983, no disco The Final Cut, o décimo segundo e último disco da banda com Roger Waters. Foi produzida por Roger Waters, James Guthrie e Michael Kamen. É na verdade a música de encerramento do disco. Uma parte da letra da música fala do Sun is in the east, even though the day is done, e se refere a bola de fogo de uma explosão nuclear. A canção foi inspirada no filme Ashes and Diamonds, de 1958, do diretor Andrzej Wajda. Andy Newmark tocou a bateria, uma vez que  Nick Mason não conseguia tocar essas mudanças complexas de time Signature. Roger Waters cantou, tocou violão, baixo e efeitos sonoros. David Gilmour tocou guitarra. Andy Newmark tocou bateria. Andy Bown tocou órgão Hammond. Raphael Ravenscroft tocou sax e Michael Kamen tocou piano.
