766 – The Mamas and The Papas – Safe in my garden (1968)

A letra:

Safe in my garden
An ancient flower blooms
And the scent from its nature
Slowly squares my room
And its perfume being such
That it's causing me to swoon
Could it be we were hot wired
Late one night, we're very tired
They stole our minds
And thought we'd never know it
With a bottle in each hand
Too late to try to understand
We don't care where it lands, we just throw it
Somebody take us away
Somebody take us away
Safe in my garden
An ancient flower blooms
And the scent from its nature
Slowly squares my room
And it's perfume being such
That it's causing me to swoon
When you go out in the street
So many hassles with the heat
No one there can fill your desire
Cops out with the megaphones
Telling people stay inside their home
Man, can't they see the world's on fire
Somebody take us away, take us away
Safe in our garden
An ancient flower blooms
And the scent from its nature
Slowly squares my room
Take us away, take us away

Hello, I love you
Won't you tell me your name?
Hello, I love you
Let me jump in your game
Hello, I love you
Won't you tell me your name?
Hello, I love you
Let me jump in your game

She's walking down the street
Blind to every eye she meets
Do you think you'll be the guy
To make the queen of the angels sigh?

Hello, I love you
Won't you tell me your name?
Hello, I love you
Let me jump in your game
Hello, I love you
Won't you tell me your name?
Hello, I love you
Let me jump in your game

She holds her head so high
Like a statue in the sky
Her arms are wicked, and her legs are long
When she moves my brain screams out this song

Sidewalk crouches at her feet
Like a dog that begs for something sweet
Do you hope to make her see, you fool?
Do you hope to pluck this dusky jewel?

Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello
I want you
Hello
I need my baby
Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
The King of Marigold was in the kitchen
Cooking breakfast for the Queen
The Queen was in the parlor
Playing piano for the children of the King.
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
So cry baby cry.
The King was in the garden
Picking flowers for a friend who came to play
The Queen was in the playroom
Painting pictures for the children's holiday.
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
So cry baby cry.
The Dutchess of Kircaldy always smiling
And arriving late for tea
The Duke was having problems
With a message at the local Bird and Bee.
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
So cry baby cry.
At twelve o'clock a meeting round the table
For a seance in the dark
With voices out of nowhere
Put on specially by the children for a lark.
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
So cry baby cry cry cry cry baby
Make your mother sigh.
She's old enough to know better
Cry baby cry
Cry cry cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.
So cry baby cry.

763 – The Zombies – I'll call you mine (1968)

Escrita por Chris White, foi lançada em março de 1968 no Reino Unido, como Lado B do compacto que tinha Time of the season como Lado A.

A letra:

Though you and I would dance and laugh and play
Walk in the light of day
And talk the night away
Could you see, baby you understood then
That I loved you, how I loved you
I couldn't chance to break the spell we had
The happy times we had
And yet the times were sad
Just for me, baby you understood then
I was afraid to try to call you mine
But now you've come to me
(I'll call you mine)
You've brought your love to me
(I'll call you mine)
You'll never look away
Or ever me say
(I'll call you mine)
But now you've come to me
(I'll call you mine)
You've brought your love to me
(I'll call you mine)
You'll never look away
Or ever me say
(I'll call you mine)
I couldn't chance to break the spell we had
The happy times we had
And yet the times were sad
Just for me, baby you understood then
I was afraid to try to call you mine
But now you've come to me
(I'll call you mine)
You've brought your love to me
(I'll call you mine)
You'll never look away
Or ever me say
(I'll call you mine)

Oh help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
There's a pain where there once was a heart
It's sleepin, it's a beatin'
Can't ya please tear it out, and preserve it
Right there in that jar?
Oh help me, please mama, I'm sick'ning
It's today that's the day of the plunge
Oh the gal I'm to marry
Is a bow-legged sow
I've been soakin' up drink like a sponge
"Don't ya worry, get dressed, " cried my mother
As she plied me with bourbon so sour
Pull your socks up, put your suit on
Comb your long hair down,
For you will be wed in the hour
So help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
There's a pain where there once was a heart
I'm sleepin, it's a beatin'
Can't ya please take it out, and preserve it
Right there in that jar?
Oh help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
There's a pain where there once was a heart
It's sleepin, it's a beatin'
Can't ya please tear it out, and preserve it
Right there in that jar?
I was tremblin', as I put on my jacket
It had creases as sharp as a knife
I put the ring in my pocket
But there was a note
And my heart it jumped into my mouth
It read, "Darlin', I'm sorry to hurt you.
But I have no courage to speak to your face.
But I'm down in Virginia with your cousin Lou
There be no wedding today."
So help me, please doctor, I'm damaged
You can put back my heart in its hole
Oh mama, I'm cryin'
Tears of relief
And my pulse is now under control

761 – The Beatles – Savoy Truffle (1968)

Paul fez backing vocal e tocou baixo. Ringo tocou bateria e pandeiro.

A letra:

Creme tangerine and montelimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert, yes you know it's good news
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle
Cool cherry cream, a nice apple tart
I feel your taste all the time we're apart
Coconut fudge, really blows down those blues
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle
You might not feel it now
But when the pain cuts through
You're going to know, and how
The sweat is going to fill your head
When it becomes too much
You shout aloud
You'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle
You know that what you eat you are,
But what is sweet now, turns so sour
We all know Obla-Di-Bla-Da
But can you show me, where you are?
Creme tangerine and montelimar
A ginger sling with a pineapple heart
A coffee dessert, yes you know it's good news
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle
Yes you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle

A letra:

Love is like candy on a shelf
You want to taste and help yourself
The sweetest things are there for you
Help yourself take a few
That's what I want you to do

We're always told repeatedly
The very best in life is free
And if you want to prove it's true
Baby, I'm telling you this is what you should do

Just help yourself to my lips to my arms
Just say the word and they're yours
Just help yourself to the love in my heart
Your smile has opened up the door
The greatest wealth that exists in the world
Could never buy what I can give
Just help yourself to my lips to my arms
And then let's really start to live
My heart has love enough for two
More than enough for me and you
I'm rich with love, a millionaire
I've so much it's unfair
Why don't you take a share
Just help yourself to my lips to my arms
Just say the word and they're yours
Just help yourself to the love in my heart
Your smile has opened up the door
The greatest wealth that exists in the world
Could never buy what I can give
Just help yourself to my lips to my arms
And then let's really start to live

I like to dream, yes, yes
Right between the sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near
To the stars away from here
Well, you don't know what
We can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride
Well, you don't know what
We can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes girl
Look inside girl
Let the sound take you away
Last night I hold Aladdin's lamp
So I wished that I could stay
Before the thing could answer me
Well, someone came and took the lamp away
I looked
Around
A lousy candle's all I found
Well, you don't know what
We can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride
Well, you don't know what
We can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes girl
Look inside girl
Let the sound take you away

Help yourself to a bit of what is all around you
Silly girl
Take a good look around you
Take a good look you're bound to see
That you and me were meant to be
With each other
Silly girl
Hold you're hand out, you silly girl
See what you've done
When you find yourself in the thick of it
Help yourself to a bit of what is all around you
Silly girl
Martha, my dear
You have always been my inspiration
Please, be good to me
Martha, my love
Don't forget me

It's not a trip at all
You taught it to me too
Exactly what you do
And now you love me too
Oh, oh, oh, it's true
We're in love we too
Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na
Oh oh oh oh oh
We're in love we two
We two
You showed me how to do
Exactly what you do
How I fell in love with you
(You...)
Showed me how to say
Exactly what you say
In that very special way
(You...)
Taught it to me too
Exactly what you do
And now you love me too

And I fell out of bed hurting my head from things that I said

Oh if I'd only seen that the joke was on me

I looked at the skies running my hands over my eyes
