A letra:

This old heart of mine been broke a thousand times
Each time you break away, I feel you're goin' to stay
Lonely nights that come, memories that go
Bringin' you back again, hurting me more and more

Maybe it's my mistake to show this love that I feel inside
'Cause each day that passes by
You got me never knowing if I'm coming or going 'cause

I love you, yes I do (this old heart weeps for you)
I love you, this old heart weeps for you (this old heart weeps for you)

I try hard to hide my hurt inside
This old heart of mine, always keeps me crying
The way you're treatin' me, leaves me incomplete
You're here for the day, gone for the week

But if leave me a hundred times, a hundred times I've you back
I'm yours, whenever you want me
I wanna shout it out, tell them about it 'cause

I love you, (I love you)
This old heart (this old heart)
Weeps for you (weeps for you)
I love you, yes I do (this old heart weeps for you)

Maybe it's my mistake to show this love I'm feelin' inside, girl
'Cause each day that passes by
You got me never knowing if I'm coming or going but

I love you, (I love you) yes I do
This old heart (this old heart)
Weeps for you (weeps for you)
I love you, this old heart weeps for you
Love you, yes I do, I love you, this old heart weeps for you

I love you, this old heart weeps for you
I love you, this old heart weeps for you
I love you, this old heart weeps for you
I love you, this old heart weeps for you

1573 – Willie Nelson – The time of the preacher (1975)

A letra:

It was the time of the preacher
When the story began
Of the choice of a lady
And the love of a man

How he loved her so dearly
He went out of his mind
When she left him for someone
That she'd left behind

And he cried like a baby
He screamed like a panther
In the middle of the night
And he saddled his pony
And he went for a ride

It was the time of the preacher
In the year of '01
Now the preaching is over
And the lesson's begun

But he could not forgive her
Though he tried and he tried and he tried
The halls of his memory
Still echo her lies

He cried like a baby
He screamed like a panther
In the middle of the night
And he saddled his pony
And he went for a ride

It was the time of the preacher
In the year of '01
Now the lesson is over
And the killing's begun

It was the time of the preacher
In the year of '01
When you think it's all over
It's only begun.

All I see is misery

Life is what you make it
At least that's what the people say
And if we can't make it through tomorrow
We'd better make it through today, through today
Through today

A letra:

I wonder how you're feeling
There's ringing in my ears
And no one to relate to 'cept the sea

Who can I believe in?
I'm kneeling on the floor
There has to be a force
Who do I phone?

The stars are out and shining
But all I really wanna know

Oh, won't you show me the way, yeah
I want you to show me the way

Well, I can see no reason
You're living on your nerves
When someone drops a cup and I submerge

I'm swimming in a circle
I feel I'm going down
There has to be a fool to play this part

Someone thought of healing
And all I really wanna know

Oh, won't you show me the way, yeah
I want you to show me the way
I want you day after day

Well, I wonder if I'm dreaming
I feel so unashamed
I can't believe this is happening to me

Oh I watch you when you're sleeping
And then I want to take your love

Oh, won't you show me the way, yeah
I want you to show me the way
I want you day after day
I want you day after day

A letra:

"The problem is all inside your head"
She said to me
"The answer is easy if you
Take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle
To be free
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover"

She said, "It's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning
Won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself
At the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover"

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Ooh, slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

She said, "It grieves me so
To see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do
To make you smile again"
I said, "I appreciate that
And would you please explain
About the fifty ways?"

She said, "Why don't we both
Just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning
You'll begin to see the light"
And then she kissed me
And I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

A letra:

Late afternoon, dreaming hotel
We just had the quarrel that sent you away
I was looking for you, are you gone gone?

Called you on the phone, another dimension
Well, you never returned, oh you know what I mean
I went looking for you, are you gone, gone?

Down by the ocean it was so dismal,
Women all standing with a shock on their faces
Sad description, oh I was looking for you

Everyone was singing, girl is washed up
On Redondo Beach and everyone is so sad
I was looking for you, are you gone gone?

Pretty little girl, everyone cried
She was the victim of sweet suicide
I went looking for you, are you gone gone?

Down by the ocean it was so dismal,
Women all standing with shock on their faces
Sad description, oh I was looking for you

Desk clerk told me girl was washed up,
Was small, an angel with apple blonde hair, now
I went looking for you, are you gone gone?

Picked up my key, didn't reply
Went to my room, started to cry
You were small, an angel, are you gone gone?

Down by the ocean it was so dismal
I was just standing with shock on my face
The hearse pulled away, and the girl that had died, it was you

You'll never return into my arms 'cause you were gone gone
Never return into my arms 'cause you were gone gone
Gone gone, gone gone, good-bye.

You just want me for what I am
But you best treat me right, woman
Gonna lose your money man

Well when I first met you baby, you was a red light girl
But I tried to take you to the better world
But you would not listen
Still you think I am a fool
Well you had it made in the shade, baby
Don't let that tree fall down on you

Well I work the railroad each and every day
Well I work real hard tryin' to make my pay
Lord I never tell you what you supposed to do
Well Girl you had it made in the shade
Don't let that tree fall down on you

A letra:

A letra:

Way down here
You need a reason to move
Feel like a fool
Running your stateside games
Lose your load
Leave your mind behind, Baby James

Oh, Mexico
It sounds so simple I just got to go
The sun's so hot I forgot to go home
Guess I'll have to go now

Americano got the sleepy damn eye
But his body's still shaking like a live wire
Sleepy "Señorita" with the eyes on fire

Oh, Mexico
It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low
Moon's so bright like to light up the night
Make everything all right

Baby's hungry and the money's all gone
The folks back home don't want to talk on the phone
She gets a long letter, sends back a postcard
Times are hard

Oh, down in Mexico
I never really been so I don't really know
Oh, Mexico
I guess I'll have to go

Oh, Mexico
I never really been but I'd sure like to go
Oh, Mexico
I guess I'll have to go now

Talkin' 'bout in Mexico (Mexico)
In a honky tonk down in Mexico
Oh, Mexico, Mexico
Oh, Mexico
Oh, Mexico, Mexico
Oh, Mexico
Oh, Mexico, Mexico
Oh, Mexico
Oh, Mexico, Mexico

A letra:

The sky is crying
Look at the tears rolling down the streets

That's right
The sky is crying
Look at the tears rolling down the streets

Yeah
I looked out my window
The rain was falling down in sheets

My baby left me this morning
Lord knows I don't know the reason why
My baby left me this morning
I don't know the reason why
And every time I think about it
I hang my head and cry

The sun is shining
Although it's raining in my heart
The sun is shining
Although it's raining in my heart
I love my baby
I hate to see us part

Yeah, yeah, yes

1564 – Rod Stewart – Still love you (1975)

Escrita por Rod Stewart, foi gravada de abril a junho de 1975 e lançada no disco Atlantic crossing, em 15 de agosto de 1975.

A letra:

I was told by a good friend
You were untouchable, out of my reach.
But the first time ever I saw you,
I spilled my cherry lime over your dress.
You said, "Don't you worry, it's not my best one."
First encounter, hardly the best.

But I would not change a thing
If I could do it all over again.
All I'm tryin' to say in this awkward way is,
"I still love you."

Didn't I try to impress you,
But my old Chevy van kept breakin' down.
And my one room over the drugstore,
We watched the neon lights go out over town.

And some nights we'd go out dancin',
Come home singin' by the Erie Canal.
Two hearts gently poundin'
As that mornin' train came janglin' through.

But I would not change a thing
If I could do it all over again.
All I'm tryin' to say in this awkward way is,
"I still love you."

Well darlin', didn't I promise
I'd never go so far away again?
But here I am writin' this letter;
Goodbye to you, my love, see you again.

But I would not change a thing
If I could do it all over again.
All I'm tryin' to say in this awkward way is,
"I still love you."

"I still love you."

Guess I will always love you

I love you

I love you
