A letra:
The
long and winding road That leads to your door Will never
disappear I've seen that road before It always leads me
here Lead me to you door
The
wild and windy night That the rain washed away Has left a pool
of tears Crying for the day Why leave me standing here? Let
me know the way
Many
times I've been alone And many times I've cried Anyway you'll
never know The many ways I've tried
And
still they lead me back To the long winding road You left me
standing here A long long time ago Don't leave me waiting
here Lead me to your door
But
still they lead me back To the long winding road You
left me standing here A long long time ago Don't keep me
waiting here Lead me to your door

A
letra:
Have
you been around Have you done your share of comin' down On
different things that people do Have you been aware You got
brothers and sisters who care About what's gonna happen to you in
a year from now
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand Maybe I'll be there to share the land That
they'll be givin' away When we all live together I'm talkin'
'bout together now
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand
Maybe I'll be there to share the land
That
they'll be givin' away
When we all live together
I'm talkin'
'bout together now
Did you pay your
dues
Did you read the news
This mornin' when the paper landed
in your yard
Do you know their names
Can you play their
games
Without losin' track and comin' down a bit too hard
Oh
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand
Maybe I'll be there to share the land
That
they'll be givin' away
When we all live together
I'm talkin'
'bout together now
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand
Maybe I'll be there to share the land
That
they'll be givin' away
When we all live together
I'm talkin'
'bout together now
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand
Maybe I'll be there to share the land
That
they'll be givin' away
When we all live together
I'm talkin'
'bout together now
Maybe I'll be there to
shake your hand
Maybe I'll be there to share the land
That
they'll be givin' away
When we all live together
Together,
together
you know I'll be
standin' by
(Share the land) to help you if you're worried
(Shake
your hand) no more sadness, no more sorrow
(Share the land) and no
more bad times
(Shake your hand) every day comin' sunshine
(Share
the land) every day everybody laughin'
(Shake your hand) walkin'
together by the river
(Share the land) walkin' together and
laughin'
(Shake your hand) everybody singin' together
(Share
the land) everybody singin' and laughin'
(Shake your hand) good
times, good times
(Share the land) everybody walkin' by the river
now
(Shake your hand) walkin', singin', talkin'
(Share the
land) smilin', laughin', diggin' each other
everybody happy
together
(Share the land) I'll be there, don't worry, if you're
needin' me
(Shake your hand) call on me, call on me
(Share the
land) call my name, I'll be runnin' to help you
(Shake your hand)
everybody walkin' by the river now
(Share the land) everybody,
everybody laughin'
(Shake your hand) everybody singin' and talkin'

A letra:
Well, I dreamed I saw the knights in armor coming, Saying
something about a queen. There were peasants singing and drummers
drumming, And the archer split the tree.
There was a
fanfare blowing to the sun That was floating on the breeze.
Look
at Mother Nature on the run In the nineteen seventies. Look at
Mother Nature on the run In the nineteen seventies.
I was
lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I
was hoping for replacement When the sun burst through the
sky.
There was a band playing in my head, And I felt like
getting high.
I was thinking about what a friend had said. I
was hoping it was a lie. Thinking about what a friend had said. I
was hoping it was a lie.
Well, I dreamed I saw the silver
space ships flying In the yellow haze of the sun. There were
children crying and colors flying All around the chosen ones.
All
in a dream, all in a dream The loading had begun.
Flying
Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home in the sun. Flying
Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home.

friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I
will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay
me down
When you're down and
out When you're on the street When evening falls so hard I
will comfort you (ooo) I'll take your part, oh, when darkness
comes And pain is all around Like a bridge over troubled
water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I
will lay me down
Sail on silver
girl Sail on by Your time has come to shine All your dreams
are on their way See how they shine Oh, if you need a
friend I'm sailing right behind Like a bridge over troubled
water I will ease your mind Like a bridge over troubled water I
will ease your mind

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know
it's been comin' for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll
rain a sunny day
I know shinin' down like water
I want to know
Have
you ever seen the rain?
I want to know
Have you ever seen the
rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?
Yesterday and days
before
Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know been that way for
all my time
'Til forever, on it goes
Through the circle, fast
and slow,
I know it can't stop, I wonder
I want to know
Have
you ever seen the rain?
I want to know
Have you ever seen the
rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?
Yeah
I want to know
Have
you ever seen the rain?
I want to know
Have you ever seen the
rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be And in my hour of
darkness she is standing right in front of me Speaking words of
wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be,
let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the
broken-hearted people living in the world agree There will be an
answer, let it be For though they may be parted, there is still a
chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be,
let it be, let it be Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be Let
it be, let it be, let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom,
let it be
Let it be, let it be,
let it be, yeah, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is
cloudy there is still a light that shines on me Shine until
tomorrow, let it be I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary
comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be,
let it be, yeah, let it be There will be an answer, let it be Let
it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be There will be an
answer, let it be Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it

A letra:
I cannot follow you, my love, You cannot follow me. I am the
distance you put between All of the moments that we will be.
You know who I
am, You've stared at the sun, Well I am the one who
loves Changing from nothing to one.
Sometimes I need you
naked, Sometimes I need you wild, I need you to carry my
children in And I need you to kill a child. You know who I am
If you should ever
track me down I will surrender there And I will leave with you
one broken man Whom I will teach you to repair. You know who I
am
I cannot follow you, my
love, You cannot follow me. I am the distance you put
between All of the moments that we will be. You know who I am

A letra:
Just one more mornin' I had to wake up with the blues Pulled
myself outta bed, yeah Put on my walkin' shoes, Went up on the
mountain, To see what I could see, The whole world was
fallin', right down in front of me.
[Chorus:] 'Cause
I'm hung up on dreams I'll never see, yeah Baby. Ahh help me baby,
or this will surely be the end of me, yeah.
Pull myself
together, put on a new face, Climb down off the hilltop, baby, Get
back in the race.
[Chorus]
Pull myself together,
put on a new face, Climb down off the hilltop, baby, Get back
in the race.

I
came upon a butcher He was slaughtering a lamb I accused him
there With his tortured lamb
He
said, "Listen to me, child" "I am what I am" "And
you, you are my only son"
Well,
I found a silver needle I put it into my arm It did some
good Did some harm
But
the nights were cold And it almost kept me warm How come the
night is long?
I
saw some flowers growing up Where that lamb fell down Was I
supposed to praise my Lord Make some kind of joyful sound?
He
said, "Listen, listen to me now" "I go 'round and
'round" "And you, you are my only child"
Do
not leave me now Do not leave me now I'm broken down From a
recent fall
Blood
upon my body And ice upon my soul Lead on, my son, it is your
world
Escrita por David Bowie, foi gravada em junho de 1969 e lançada em
11 de julho de 1969 em um compacto que tinha Space Oddity como Lado
A.
A letra:
Solemn faced The village settles down Undetected by the
stars And the hangman plays the mandolin before he goes to
sleep And the last thing on his mind Is the Wild Eyed Boy
imprisoned 'Neath the covered wooden shaft Folds the rope Into
its bag Blows his pipe of smolders Blankets smoke into the
room And the day will end for some As the night begins for one
Staring through the
message in his eyes Lies a solitary son From the mountain
called Freecloud Where the eagle dare not fly And the patience
in his sigh Gives no indication For the townsmen to decide So
the village Dreadful yawns Pronouncing gross diversion As the
label for the dog Oh "It's the madness in his eyes" As
he breaks the night to cry:
"It's really
me Really you And really me It's so hard for us to really
be Really you And really me You'll lose me though I'm
always Really free"
And the mountain moved
its eyes To the world of realize Where the snow had saved a
place For the wild eyed boy From Freecloud
And the village
Dreadful cried As the rope began to rise For the smile stayed
on the face Of the wild eyed boy From Freecloud And the
women once proud Clutched the heart of the crowd As the
boulders smashed down from the mountain's hand
And the magic in the
stare Of the wild eyed boy said "Stop, Freecloud They
won't think to cut me down" But the cottages fell Like a
playing card hell And the tears on the face Of the wise
boy Came tumbling down To the rumbling ground And the
missionary mystic of peace/love Stumbled to cry among the
clouds Kicking back the pebbles From the Freecloud mountain

A letra:
The changing of sunlight to moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh,
how they fill my eyes
The greetings of people
in trouble
Reflections of my life
Oh, how they fill my eyes
Oh, my sorrows
Sad
tomorrows
Take me back to my own home
Oh, my crying (Oh, my
crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back to my own home
I'm changing,
arranging
I'm changing
I'm changing everything
Everything
around me
The world is
A bad
place
A bad place
A terrible place to live
Oh, but I don't
want to die
Oh, my sorrows
Sad
tomorrows
Take me back to my own home
Oh, my crying (Oh, my
crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back to my own home
Oh, my sorrows
Sad
tomorrows
Take me back to my own home

A letra:
I finally broke into the prison, I found my place in the
chain. Even damnation is poisoned with rainbows, All the brave
young men They're waiting now to see a signal Which some killer
will be lighting for pay. Into this furnace I ask you now to
venture, You whom I cannot betray.
I fought in the old
revolution On the side of the ghost and the King. Of course I
was very young And I thought that we were winning; I can't
pretend I still feel very much like singing As they carry the
bodies away. Into this furnace I ask you now to venture
Lately you've started
to stutter As though you had nothing to say. To all of my
architects let me be traitor. Now let me say I myself gave the
order To sleep and to search and to destroy. Into this furnace
I ask you now to venture
Yes, you who are broken
by power, You who are absent all day, You who are kings for the
sake of your children's story, The hand of your beggar is burdened
down with money, The hand of your lover is clay. Into this
furnace I ask you now to venture

If you want to get to heaven Over on the other shore Stay out
of the way of the blood-stained bandit Oh good shepherd Feed my
sheep One for Paul One for Silas One for to make my heart
rejoice Can't you hear my lambs acallin Oh good shepherd Feed
my sheep If you want to get to heaven Over on the other
shore Stay out of the way of the long-tongue liar Oh good
shepherd Feed my sheep If you want to get to heaven Over on
the other shore Stay out of the way of the gun shot devil Oh
good shepherd Feed my sheep
Escrita por Leonard Cohen, foi gravada em outubro de 1968 e lançada
em 7 de abril de 1969 no disco Songs from a room. Nancy foi uma
mulher que cresceu com Cohen em Montreal.
A letra:
It seems so long ago, Nancy was alone, Looking ate the Late
Late show Through a semi-precious stone. In the House of
Honesty Her father was on trial, In the House of Mystery There
was no one at all, There was no one at all.
It seems so long
ago, None of us were strong Nancy wore green stockings And
she slept with everyone.
She never said she'd
wait for us Although she was alone, I think she fell in love
for us In nineteen sixty one, In nineteen sixty one.
It seems so long
ago, Nancy was alone, A forty five beside her head, An open
telephone.
We told her she was
beautiful, We told her she was free But none of us would meet
her in The House of Mystery, The House of Mystery.
And now you look around
you, See her everywhere, Many use her body, Many comb her
hair.
In the hollow of the
night When you are cold and numb You hear her talking freely
then, She's happy that you've come, She's happy that you've
come.
