primeiro no álbum Confrontation, o décimo segundo e último álbum de
estúdio de Bob Marley & The Wailers, em 23 de maio de 1983. A produção
ficou por conta de Bob Marley e Errol Brown. “Stiff Necked Fools” é uma das
críticas mais diretas de Bob Marley contra a arrogância, o orgulho excessivo e
a teimosia das pessoas. Na letra, ele adverte contra quem se recusa a aprender,
a mudar ou a aceitar a sabedoria, chamando-os de “tolos de pescoço duro”. É uma
música forte, com tom de advertência e ensinamento rastafári. Musicalmente, a
faixa tem um arranjo roots reggae clássico, com baixo pesado, bateria skank
