617 – The Turtles – Happy together (1967)

Escrita por Alan Gordon e Garry Booner, foi lançada em fevereiro de 1967 como compacto que tinha Like the seasons como Lado B e também foi lançada em um LP de mesmo nome. Happy together tirou o primeiro lugar dos hits pop americanos nada mais nada menos do que Penny Lane, dos Beatles.

Foi também o único hit dos Turtles a chegar ao número 1 nos Estados Unidos. Chegou também ao número 12 no Reino Unido, número 2 na Nova Zelândia e número 13 no Canadá. A canção foi rejeitada uma dúzia de vezes até ser aceita pelos Turtles.

Foi regravada por Captain and Tennillle, Petula Clark, Simple Plan, entre outros.
