tinha Ain't that so como Lado B. Saiu também no disco Winds of
change.
britanicos. Ozzy Osbourne gravou-a em 2005.
A letra:
When I think of all the good times that I've wasted having good
times When I think of all the good time that 's been wasted having
good times
When I was drinkin' I should've been thinkin' When I was
fighting I could've done the right thing All of that boozin' I
was really losin' Good times Good times
When I think of all the good time that's been wasted having good
times When I think of all the good time that's been wasted having
good times
All of my lying I remember her crying My useless talkin' I
couldv'e been walkin' Instead of complainin' I couldv'e been
gainin' Good times
Yes, here we all are having a jolly good time And everything is
working out fine, ha ha ha ha ha
Useless talkin' All that walkin All of my sinnin' I
could've been winnin' I have it too easy And its a beginning of
good times Good times I said good times Talking bout good
times

bank High School, onde ele houvera estudado.
Foi quando ele escreveu I am the walrus.
I am the
manager deles, Brian Epstein. George Martin regeu a orquestra com
Violinos, cellos, cornetas e clarinetes. Um coral de 16 vozes tambem
foi contratado. O nome deles era The Mike Sammes Singers.
John cantou,
fez backing vocals, tocou piano elétrico e mellotron. Paul tocou
baixo, pandeiro e fez backing vocals. George Harrison tocou guitarra
eletrica e fez backing vocals. Ringo tocou bateria.

dollars in my hand Up to Lexington, 125 Feel sick and dirty,
more dead than alive I'm waiting for my man Hey, white boy,
what you doin' uptown? Hey, white boy, you chasin' our women
around? Oh pardon me sir, it's the furthest from my mind I'm
just lookin' for a dear, dear friend of mine I'm waiting for my
man Here he comes, he's all dressed in black Beat up shoes and
a big straw hat He's never early, he's always late First thing
you learn is you always gotta wait I'm waiting for my man Up to a
Brownstone, up three flights of stairs Everybody's pinned you, but
nobody cares He's got the works, gives you sweet taste Ah then
you gotta split because you got no time to waste I'm waiting for
my man Baby don't you holler, darlin' don't you bawl and shout I'm
feeling good, you know I'm gonna work it on out I'm feeling good,
I'm feeling oh so fine Until tomorrow, but that's just some other
time I'm waiting for my man

'cause there's magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles

If you think that I
don't know about the little tricks you've played And never see you
when deliberately you put things in my way
Well, here's a poke
at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that
smile Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles I
can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and
miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
You took advantage of my
trust in you when I was so far away I saw you holding lots of
other guys and now you've got the nerve to say
That you still
want me Well, that's as may be But you gotta stand
trial Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles I
can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and
miles and miles and miles Oh yeah
I know you've deceived
me, now here's a surprise I know that you have 'cause there's
magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and
miles and miles Oh yeah
The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal
are mine to see on clear days You thought that I would need a
crystal ball to see right through the haze
Well, here's a poke
at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that
smile Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles I
can see for miles and miles I can see for miles and miles and

Peppers. Foi inspirada num desenho que Julian
Lennon, filho de John, trouxe da escola chamado Lucy in the sky with
diamonds. Logo as pessoas começaram a dizer que as iniciais dos
nomes formavam as iniciais LSD. John sempre negou isso veementemente.
Julian
Lucy in the
músicas do disco Sgt. Peppers. É um clássico do psicodelismo.
John fez os
vocais, tocou maracas, piano e violão. Paul fez backing vocals,
tocou baixo e órgão. Goegr Harrison tocou guitarra solo e tambura.
Ringo tocou bateria.
John
mencionou Lucy in the sky em I am the walrus.
regravada por Natalie Cole, Black Crowes, Rita Lee, Bono and Edge,
Dan Torres, Pink, entre outros.
A letra:
Picture
yourself in a boat on a river With tangerine trees and marmalade
skies Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly A girl with
kaleidoscope eyes
Cellophane flowers of yellow and
green Towering over your head Look for the girl with the sun in
her eyes And she's gone
Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy
in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with
diamonds Aaaaahhhhh...
Follow her down to a bridge by a
fountain Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies Everyone
smiles as you drift past the flowers That grow so incredibly
high
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore Waiting to take
you away Climb in the back with your head in the clouds And
you're gone
Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky
with diamonds Lucy in the sky with diamonds Aaaaahhhhh...
Picture
yourself on a train in a station With Plasticine porters with
looking-glass ties Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile The
girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy
in the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with
diamonds Aaaaahhhhh... Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in
the sky with diamonds Lucy in the sky with
diamonds Aaaaahhhhh... Lucy in the sky with diamonds Lucy in

A letra:
How insensitive I
must have seemed when she told me that she loved me How unmoved
and cold I must have seemed when she told me so sincerely
"Why"
she must have asked, did I just turn and stare in icy silence? What
was I to say? What can you say when a love affair is over?
Now
she's gone away and I'm alone with a mem'ry of her last look Vague
and drawn and sad I see it still, all her heartbreak in that last
look [in Portuguese:] Ah,
porque você foi fraco assim Assim tao desalmado
What was I
to do? What can one do when a love affair is over?
Escrita por

A letra:
I don't know just
where I'm going But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can 'Cause
it makes me feel like I'm a man When I put a spike into my
vein And I'll tell ya, things aren't quite the same When I'm
rushing on my run And I feel just like Jesus' son And I guess
that I just don't know And I guess that I just don't know I
have made the big decision I'm gonna try to nullify my life 'Cause
when the blood begins to flow When it shoots up the dropper's
neck When I'm closing in on death And you can't help me now,
you guys And all you sweet girls with all your sweet talk You
can all go take a walk And I guess that I just don't know And I
guess that I just don't know I wish that I was born a thousand
years ago I wish that I'd sail the darkened seas On a great big
clipper ship Going from this land here to that In a sailor's
suit and cap Away from the big city Where a man can not be
free Of all of the evils of this town And of himself, and those
around Oh, and I guess that I just don't know Oh, and I guess
that I just don't know Heroin, be the death of me Heroin, it's
my wife and it's my life Because a mainer to my vein Leads to a
center in my head And then I'm better off and dead Because when
the smack begins to flow I really don't care anymore About all
the Jim-Jim's in this town And all the politicians makin' crazy
sounds And everybody puttin' everybody else down And all the
dead bodies piled up in mounds 'Cause when the smack begins to
flow Then I really don't care anymore Ah, when the heroin is in
my blood And that blood is in my head Then thank God that I'm
as good as dead Then thank your God that I'm not aware And
thank God that I just don't care And I guess I just don't know And
I guess I just don't know
primeira música gravada durante as sessões do disco Sgt. Peppers.
A canção contem instrumentação reversa e tape
Lennon
A mesma revista
Mojo colocou-a
Paul tocou Mellotron,
baixo, guitarra eletrica, timpani e bongôs.
Foi
regravada por Peter Gabriel, Ben Harper, Richie Havens, Bee Gees,
Noel Gallagher, Cyndi Lauper, Marilyn Mason, The Shadows, Gwen
Stefani, The Ventures, entre outros. George Harrison tocou guitarra
solo slide, swarmandal, timpano e maracas. Ringo tocou bateria e
percussão. George Harrison fez os arranjos do trumpete e do cello.
A letra:
Let me take you
down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields Nothing is real and
nothing to get hung about Strawberry Fields forever
Living
is easy with eyes closed Misunderstanding all you see It's
getting hard to be someone but it all works out It doesn't matter
much to me Let me take you down, cause I'm going to Strawberry
Fields Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about Strawberry
Fields forever
No one I think is in my tree I mean it must
be high or low That is you can't you know tune in but it's all
right That is I think it's not too bad Let me take you down,
cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields Nothing is real and nothing
to get hung about Strawberry Fields forever
Always, no
sometimes, think it's me But you know I know when it's a dream I
think I know I mean a "Yes" but it's all wrong That is I
think I disagree
Let me take you down, cause I'm going to
Strawberry Fields Nothing is real and nothing to get hung
about Strawberry Fields forever Strawberry Fields
forever Strawberry Fields forever
no Vox Continental.
Show. Entraram num acordo pra substituir Girl we couldn't getter much
higher por Girl we couldn't get much better.
A letra:
You know that
it would be untrue You know that I would be a liar If I was
to say to you Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on
baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set
the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through No time
to wallow in the mire Try now we can only lose And our love
become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire Come on
baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire, yeah
The
time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try
now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre
Come
on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set
the night on fire, yeah
You know that it would be untrue You
know that I would be a liar If I was to say to you Girl, we
couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire Come
on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire Try to
set the night on fire Try to set the night on fire Try to set
the night on fire
seis meses. Eles começaram a namorar e Cohen levou-a pra casa dela,
Marianne
A letra:
Come over to the window,
my little darling, I'd like to try to read your palm. I used
to think I was some kind of Gypsy boy before I let you take me
home. Now so long, Marianne, it's time that we began to laugh
and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.
Well you know
that I love to live with you, but you make me forget so very
much. I forget to pray for the angels and then the angels
forget to pray for us.
Now so long, Marianne, it's time that
we began ...
We met when we were almost young deep in the
green lilac park. You held on to me like I was a crucifix, as
we went kneeling through the dark.
Oh so long, Marianne, it's
time that we began ...
Your letters they all say that you're
beside me now. Then why do I feel alone? I'm standing on a
ledge and your fine spider web is fastening my ankle to a stone.
Now so long, Marianne, it's time that we began ...
For
now I need your hidden love. I'm cold as a new razor blade. You
left when I told you I was curious, I never said that I was
brave.
Oh so long, Marianne, it's time that we began ...
Oh, you are really such a pretty one. I see you've gone
and changed your name again. And just when I climbed this whole
mountainside, to wash my eyelids in the rain!
A letra fala
gravada durante as sessões do disco Sgt. Peppers. A gravadora queria
surgiu Penny Lane e Straberry fields.
1967.
Paul cantou,
tocou piano, baixo, harmonium, pandeiro e efeitos. John fez vocal,
piano, guitarra, congas e bateu palmas. George Harrison fez backing
vocals, guitarra solo e bateu palmas. Ringo tocou bateria e sino.
George Martin tocou piano e fez o arranjo da orquestra.
A letra:
In Penny Lane
there is a barber showing photographs Of every head he's had the
pleasure to have known And all the people that come and go Stop
and say hello
On the corner is a banker with a motorcar The
little children laugh at him behind his back And the banker never
wears a mac In the pouring rain, very strange
Penny Lane is
in my ears and in my eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies I
sit, and meanwhile back
In Penny Lane there is a fireman with
an hourglass And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen He
likes to keep his fire engine clean It's a clean machine
Penny
Lane is in my ears and in my eyes A four of fish and finger
pies In summer, meanwhile back
Behind the shelter in the
middle of a roundabout The pretty nurse is selling poppies from a
tray And though she feels as if she's in a play She is
anyway
In Penny Lane the barber shaves another customer We
see the banker sitting waiting for a trim And then the fireman
rushes in From the pouring rain, very strange
Penny lane is
in my ears and in my eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies I
sit, and meanwhile back Penny lane is in my ears and in my
eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies Penny Lane

spend the night together no Lado A. Foi número 1 nos Estados Unidos

Linda deixou
causa disso, ela sobreviveu e criou família e hoje mora em New
Orleans.

gained And nothing's lost At such a cost
Goodbye, Ruby
Tuesday Who could hang a name on you? When you change with
every new day Still I'm gonna miss you...
There's no time
to lose, I heard her say Catch your dreams before they slip
away Dying all the time Lose your dreams And you will lose
your mind. Ain't life unkind?
Goodbye, Ruby
Tuesday Who could hang a name on you? When you change with
every new day Still I'm gonna miss you...

A letra:
There must be some way out of here, Said the joker to the
thief There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief
Businessmen, they drink my wine Plowmen dig my earth None of
them along the line, Know what any of it is worth
No
reason to get excited, the thief he kindly spoke There are
many here among us, Who feel that life is but a joke
But you
and I, we've been through that And this is not our fate So let
us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late
All along the watchtower, Princes kept the view While all the
women came and went Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the distance, A wildcat did growl Two riders were
approaching The wind began to howl

sung Nothing you can say But you can learn how to play the
game, It's easy
Nothing you can make
that can be made No one you can save that can't be saved Nothing
you can do But can learn to be you in time, It's easy

can know that isn't known Nothing you can see that isn't
shown There's nowhere you can be That isn't where you're meant
to be, It's Easy

A letra:
I want to spend my life with a girl like you, Ba ba ba ba bah
ba ba ba ba And do all the things that you want me to, Ba ba
ba ba bah ba ba ba ba 'Till that time has come that we might live
as one Can I dance with you, Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba Ba
ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba
I can tell by the way you dress that you're so refined, Ba ba
ba ba bah ba ba ba ba And by the way you talk that you're just my
kind, Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba Girl why should it be that
you don't notice me Can I dance with you, Ba ba ba ba bah ba
ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba
Baby baby, is there no chance I can take you for the last
dance All night long, yeah, I've been waiting Now there'll be
no hesitating
So before this dance has reached the
end, Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba To you across the floor my
love I'll send, Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba I just hope and
pray that I'll find a way to say Can I dance with you, Ba ba
ba ba bah ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba bah ba ba ba ba
