Tem Backing vocals feitos por Patti Austin, Valerie Simpson e Phoebe Snow. O riff de bateria é feito pelo baterista Steve Gadd. Foi o único hit número 1 de Paul Simon no Billboard Hot100 como artista solo. Foi também a melhor posição dele na França, sendo número 2. Foi Top 20 também no Canadá e na Nova Zelandia. Foi número 23 no Reino Unido. Foi feita após o divórcio de Paul com sua primeira esposa, Peggy Harper. E ele decidiu usar um tom mais divertido pra registrar o evento. Foi gravada num estúdio pequeno em New York City. O teme foi baseada em Tit er jeg glad, uma música dinamarquesa de amor de 1917, composta por Carl Nielsen. Paul Simon cantou e tocou violão. John Tropea e Hugh McCracken tocaram guitarra. Tony Levin tocou baixo. Kenny Ascher tocou orgão Hammond. Steve Gadd tocou bateria. Ralph MacDonald tocou pandeiro. Patti Austin, Valerie Simpson e Phoebe Show fizeram backing vocals.
