878 – The Archies – Sugar sugar (1969)

Escrita por Andy Kim e Jeff Barry, foi lançada em 24 de maio de 1969 pelos Archies, em um compacto que tinha Melody Hill como Lado B. Chegou ao número 1 nos charts pop amercianos, ficando nessa posição por 4 semanas. Foi também número 1 no Reino Unido por 8 semanas. Também foi número 1 no Canadá. É o número 78 dos 100 maiores compactos de todos os tempos da Billboard. Chegou também ao número 1 na Africa do Sul.

No ano seguinte, Wilson Pickett iria regrava-la e seria um outro hit.
