Escrita por Lou Reed, foi gravada em novembro e dezembro de 1968 e lançada em março de 1969 no disco The Velvet Underground.

Apesar do nome, a música foi feita pra uma garota que não tinha os olhos azuis. Foi feita pro primeiro amor de Reed, chamada Shelley Albin, que na época era casada.

Lou Reed cantou e tocou guitarra Doug Yule tocou baixo, orgao Hammond e fez Backing vocals. Maureen Tucker tocou pandeiro.

Foi regravada por Lou Reed, Maureen Tucker, Patti Smith, R.E.M., Marisa Monte, Hole, Counting Crows, Andrea Corr, entre outros artistas.
