A letra:

Trouble in the city, trouble in the farm
You got your rabbit’s foot, you got your good-luck charm
But they can’t help you none when there’s trouble

Trouble
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Nothin’ but trouble

Trouble in the water, trouble in the air
Go all the way to the other side of the world, you’ll find trouble there
Revolution even ain’t no solution for trouble

Trouble
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Nothin’ but trouble

Drought and starvation, packaging of the soul
Persecution, execution, governments out of control
You can see the writing on the wall inviting trouble

Trouble
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Nothin’ but trouble

Put your ear to the train tracks, put your ear to the ground
You ever feel like you’re never alone even when there’s nobody else around?
Since the beginning of the universe man’s been cursed by trouble

Trouble
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Nothin’ but trouble

Nightclubs of the broken-hearted, stadiums of the damned
Legislature, perverted nature, doors that are rudely slammed
Look into infinity, all you see is trouble

Trouble
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Nothin’ but trouble

A letra:

I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick on the cigarettes there in the ashtray
Lyin' cold the way you left 'em, but at least your lips caressed them while you packed
Or the lip-print on a half-filled cup of coffee that you poured and didn't drink
But at least you thought you wanted it, that's so much more than I can say for me

What a good year for the roses (roses)
Many blooms still linger there
The lawn could stand another mowin'
Funny, I don't even care
As you turn to walk away
And as the door behind you closes
The only thing I have to say
It's been a good year for the roses

After three full years of marriage, it's the first time that you haven't made the bed
I guess the reason we're not talkin', there's so little left to say we haven't said
While a million thoughts go racin' through my mind, I find I haven't said a word
From the bedroom, the familiar sound of one baby's crying goes unheard

What a good year for the roses (roses)
Many blooms still linger there
The lawn could stand another mowin'
Funny, I don't even care
As you turn to walk away
As the door behind you closes
The only thing I have to say
It's been a good year for the roses

You are the One
You are my love
You send the rain and bring the sun
You stand alone and speak the truth
You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are
You are the One

You're in my dream
I hold you there in high esteem
I need you more each step I take
You are the love in life itself, oh yes you are
You are the One

You are the one that I'd die for
And you're all that is real
You are the essence of that which
We taste, touch and feel

You are the One
No matter what
You are the real love that I've got
You are my friend and when life's through
You are the light in death itself, oh yes you are
You are the One

They call you Christ, Vsnu, Buddha, Jehovah,
Our Lord
You are, Govindam, Bismillah, Creator of All

You are the One
No matter what
You are the real love that I've got
You are my friend and when life's through
You are the light in death itself, oh yes are
You are the One
You are my love
You send the rain and bring the sun
You stand alone and speak the truth
You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are
You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are
You are the One

Roussel ficou. Sting tocou baixo, cantou e fez os backing vocals. Andy Summers tocou as guitarras. Stewart Copeland tocou bateria. Jean Alain Roussel tocou piano e sintetizadores.

A letra:

Though I've tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve as I've done from the start

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Do I have to tell the story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met?
It's a big enough umbrella
But it's always me that ends up getting wet

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

I resolved to call her up
A thousand times a day
And ask her if she'll marry me
Some old-fashioned way

But my silent fears have gripped me
Long before I reach the phone
Long before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

On and on and on and

Every little thing, every little thing
Every little thing, every little thing
Every little, every little, every little
Every little thing she does

Every little thing she does
Every little thing she does
Every little thing she does
Thing she does is magic

E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh
E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh E-oh
Every little thing, every little thing
Every little thing she do is magic, magic, magic
Magic, magic, magic
Oh oh, Oh oh
E-oh oh oh oh oh

I have to tell a story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met

It's a big enough umbrella
But it's always me that ends up getting wet

She laughed in my face, told me good-bye
Said, "Don't think about it, you can go crazy
Anything can happen, anything can end
Don't try to fight it, don't try to save me"

She's a woman in love
She's a woman in love
And he's gonna break her heart to pieces
She don't wanna see
She's a woman in love
But it's not me

Well alright, do what you want
Don't try to talk, don't say nothin'
She used to be the kind of woman
You have and you hold
She could understand the problem
She let the little things go

She's a woman in love
She's a woman in love
And he's gonna break her heart to pieces
She don't wanna know
She's a woman in love
She can't let go

Time after time, night after night
She would look up at me
And say she was lonely
I don't understand the world today
I don't understand what she needed
I gave her everything she threw it all away
On nothin'

She's a woman in love
She's a woman in love
And he's gonna break her heart to pieces
She don't wanna see
She's a woman in love
But it's not me

She's a woman in love

2127 – Bob Dylan – Lenny Bruce (1981)

Bob Dylan tocou guitarra, gaita, percussão, piano, teclado e cantou. Carolyn Dennis, Clydie King, Regina McCrory, Madelyn Quebec e Monalisa Young fizeram backing vocals. Steve Douglas tocou Sax. Tim Drummond tocou baixo. Jun Keltner tocou bateria. Carl Pickhardt tocou piano. William Smith tocou orgão Hammond. Benmont Tench tocou teclado. Danny Kortchmar, Steve Riplev e Fred Tackett tocaram guitarra.

A letra:

Lenny Bruce is dead, but his ghost lives on and on
Never did get any Golden Globe Award
Never made it to Synanon
He was an outlaw, that's for sure
More of an outlaw than you ever were
Lenny Bruce is gone, but his spirit's livin' on and on

Maybe he had some problems
Maybe some things that he couldn't work out
But he sure was funny, and he sure told the truth
And he knew what he was talkin' about

Never robbed any churches, nor cut off any babies' heads
He just took the folks in high places, and he shined a light in their face
He's on some other shore, he didn't wanna live anymore

Lenny Bruce is dead, but he didn't commit any crime
He just had the insight to rip off the lid before its time
I rode with him in a taxi once, only for a mile and a half
Seemed like it took a couple of months
Lenny Bruce moved on, and the ones that killed him, are gone

They said that he was sick, 'cause he didn't play by the rules
He just showed the wise men of his day to be nothing more than fools
They stamped him, and they labeled him like they do with pants and shirts
He fought a war on a battlefield where every victory hurts
Lenny Bruce was bad, he was the brother that you never had

A letra:

Don't take the fire from your eyes
Must make them feel the heat
They build castles underground for the rich and politic elite
Keep all the home fires burning
Don't let the lights go out
The streets are empty, and there's nobody about

We'll be alright in the morning time, yeah
We're doing fine, I'll see you on the night line

There's no need for you to fight, boys
Hang up all your guns
Find your mask and as best as you can
Get ready to run
Keep all the food lines moving
Don't come crying for more
The signs were there
You should have bought connections before

We'll be alright in the morning time, yeah
We're doing fine
I'll see you on the nightline

It's such a big joke
It's the talk of the town
All the planets to whom I spoke
Are trying their best to play it down

Don't take the fire from your eyes
Must make them feel the heat
But my head's unsteady
I can't seem to keep my feet

We'll be alright in the morning time, yeah
We're doing fine
I'll see you on the nightline

Jump off the Eiffel Tower
Just have a look around
Move fast, in the tunnels of the underground
Move fast, in the tunnels of the underground

Let's go!

A letra:

Catch me if you can; I won't be easy to find
I got a woman at home that's driving me out of my mind
Catch me if you can; it won't be easy to do
And I'm warning you brother I won't be leaving no clues

Catch me if you can; I won't be leaving no scent
I've been running the wrong way, I think it's time that I went
Believe me, I'm a man; I ain't easy to tend
And I'm moving on out, so catch me if you can

There's no use bothering with the lost and found
You'd better find a shovel, 'cause I've gone to ground
Little girl never did pay me no mind
I guess I'll have to go and leave her behind. So

Catch me if you can; I won't be easy to find
I got a woman at home that's driving me out of my mind
Catch me if you can; it won't be easy to do
And I'm warning you brother I won't be leaving no clues

A letra:

I'm shouting all about love
While they treated you like a dog
When you were the one who had made it so clear
All those years ago

I'm talking all about how to give
They don't act with much honesty
But you point the way to the truth when you say
All you need is love

Living with good and bad
I've always looked up to you
Now we're left cold and sad
By someone the devil's best friend
Someone who offended all

We're living in a bad dream
They've forgotten all about mankind
And you were the one they backed up to the wall
All those years ago
You were the one who Imagined it all
All those years ago

Deep in the darkest night
I send out a prayer to you
Now in the world of light
Where the spirit free of the lies
And all else that we despised

They've forgotten all about God
He's the only reason we exist
Yet you were the one that they said was so weird
All those years ago
You said it all though not many had ears
All those years ago
You had control of our smiles and our tears
All those years ago

Somebody's knocking at the door
There's a black car parked at the side of the road
Don't go to the door
Don't go to the door

I'm going out
I'm going outside mother
I'm going out there

Won't you be back tomorrow?
Won't you be back tomorrow?
Will you be back tomorrow?
La la la la la

Who broke the window?
Who broke down the door?
Who tore the curtain?
And who was it for?
Who heals the wounds?
Who heals the scars?
Open the door, open the door

Won't you come back tomorrow?
Won't you be back tomorrow?
Will you be back tomorrow?
Can I sleep tonight?

'Cause I want you
I, I want you
I really want you
I, I want, I, I

Want you to be back tomorrow
I want you to be back tomorrow
Will you be back tomorrow?
La la la la la

I want you to be back tomorrow
I want you to be back tomorrow
Will you be back tomorrow?
Open up, open up, to the Lamb of God
To the love of He
Who made the blind to see
He's coming back
He's coming back
Oh believe Him

Um reggae, é outra canção evangélica. Um aviso contra o diabo. A letra:

Uttering idle words from a reprobate mind,
Clinging to strange promises, dying on the vine,
Never bein' able to separate the good from the bad,
Ooh, I can't stand it, I can't stand it,
It's makin' me feel so bad.

Dead man, dead man,
When will you rise?
Cobwebs in your mind,
Dust in your eyes.

Satan got you by the heel, there's a bird's nest in your hair.
Do you have any faith at all? Do you have any love to share?
The way that you hold your head, cursin' God with every move,
Ooh, I can't stand it, I can't stand it,
What are you tryin' to prove?

Dead man, dead man,
When will you rise?
Cobwebs in your mind,
Dust in your eyes.

The glamor ad the bright lights and the politics of sin,
The ghetto you build for me is the one you end up in,
The race of the engine that overrules your heart,
Ooh, I can't stand it, I can't stand it,
Pretending that you're so smart.

Dead man, dead man,
When will you rise?
Cobwebs in your mind,
Dust in your eyes.

What are you tryin' to overpower me with, the doctrine or the gun?
My back is already to the wall, where can I run?
The tuxedo that you're wearin', the flower in your lapel,
Ooh, I can't stand it, I can't stand it,
You want to take me down to hell.

Dead man, dead man,
When will you rise?
Cobwebs in your mind,
Dust in your eyes.

A letra:

Down by the sea
I found your hidden treasure
Just you and me,
We overdosed on pleasure

Yonnies in the wind,
We're ruggin' up for winter
Putting out the bins
In cold and windy weather

Down by the docks
Live all the silent sea-ships
Crates are stored on blocks
Where now only the rats live

Sail me down the river
Till we reach the shore
Diving into the center
Eating out the core

Down on the beach
Saluting Captain Benbow
Always out of reach
It's quiet when the tide's low

Climbing up the cliffs
You can see for miles far
The boat that ran adrift
Is sitting on the sandbar

Laughing at the waves
That storm the river mouth
The ice is on the move now
Creeping north and south

Down by the sea
I found your hidden treasure
Just you and me
We over-dosed on pleasure

Listen to your heart
Screamin' at the sky
Can't you feel it tremble?
Don't you wonder why?

A letra:

Sixteen days in Bethlehem
Peddling dope to keep drinking wine
Pulling women, making gigs
Steerin' clear and doin' fine
I moved on down to Galilee
Trying to find a few new friends
I'm throwin' aces everywhere
Trying to forget the end

So hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I'm slippin' through
Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I beg of You

I'm cruising through Jerusalem
Dust is flyin' everywhere
I'm dodging bullets, making time
On the level, in the square

They say you kissed your best friend's hand
They say you did it for his love
They say he got in agony
The hand fits well into the glove

Woah, hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I'm slippin' through
Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I beg of You

Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I'm slippin' through
Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I beg of You

Ohh, hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I'm slippin' through
Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I beg of You

Hold me Lord, oh hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I'm slippin' through
Hold me Lord, hold me Lord
Hold me tight, I beg of You

A letra:

Watching girls go passing by
It ain't the latest thing
I'm just standing in a doorway
I'm just trying to make some sense
Out of these girls that passing by
The tales they tell of men
I'm not waiting on a lady
I'm just waiting on a friend

Mmm, a smile relieves a heart that grieves
Remember what I said
I'm not waiting on a lady
I'm just waiting on a friend
I'm just waiting on a friend
Just waiting on a friend
I'm just waiting on a friend
I'm just waiting on a friend
I'm just waiting on a friend

Mmm, don't need a whore, I don't need no booze
Don't need a virgin priest
But I need someone I can cry to
I need someone to protect
Mmm, making love and breaking hearts
It is a game for youth
But I'm not waiting on my lady
I'm just waiting on a friend

I'm just waiting on a friend
Just waiting on a friend
Waiting on a friend
I'm just waiting on a friend
Just waiting on a friend
Waiting on a friend
Waiting on a friend

A letra:

Life ain't nothing but a party
Tomorrow too soon is yesterday
If you take it that way
You gonna make it that way
And the party still goes on and on
And oh, it ain't nothing but a party

Life ain't nothing but a party
Better find yourself and gather together today
If you treat it that way and just needed halfway
The party goes on and on, and on and on
Ain't nothing but a party

Lasts for breakfast and some's for dinner
And if you listen real close, babe
It'll only end up in a pinner winner
You know, life, life ain't nothing but a party
Tomorrow too soon is yesterday
If you live it that way and don't give it away
The party still goes on and on and on
I feel nothing but a party

Laugh you righteous, seeing you sinner
And if you listen real close, babe
Gonna end up in a winner
I said, life, life ain't nothing but a party
Tomorrow too soon is yesterday
If you live it that way
And don't give it away
The party goes on and on and on

Life ain't nothing but a party
Nothing but a party
Nothing but a party
Ain't nothing but a party
It ain't nothing but a party
