disco Rubber Soul.
telefonemas. Ele estava numa posição vulnerável. Marca uma mudança
das suas músicas anteriores mais alegres.
Musicalmente, foi
inspirada nos Four Tops, na música It's the same old song. Eles
estavam faltando três músicas pra completar o disco e então
gravaram You won't see me, que era a música mais longa deles até o
momento, 3 minutos e 22 segundos.
e em A day in the life. You won't see me nunca foi parte do
Paul cantou, tocou
baixo e piano. John fez somente os backing vocals. George Harrison
tocou guitarra solo e fez backing vocals. Ringo tocou bateria e
pandeiro.
Lynne.
também Day Tripper e I'm happy just to dance with you.
Foi também
regravada pelos Bee Gees, Brian Ferry, The Dave Mathews Band, o
próprio Paul McCartney, entre outros.
A letra:
When I call you
up
Your line's engaged
I have had enough
So act your age
We have lost the time
That was so hard to find
And I will lose my mind
If you won't see me (You won't see me)
You won't see me (You won't see me)
I don't know why you
Should want to hide
But I can't get through
My hands are tied
I won't want to stay
I don't have much to say
But I can't turn away
And you won't see me (You won't see me)
You won't see me (You won't see me)
Time after time
You refuse to even listen
I wouldn't mind
If I knew what I was missing
Though the days are few
They're filled with tears
And since I lost you
It feels like years
Yes, it seems so long
Girl, since you've been gone
And I just can't go on
If you won't see me (You won't see me)
You won't see me (You won't see me)
Time after time
You refuse to even listen
I wouldn't mind
If I knew what I was missing
Though the days are few
They're filled with tears
And since I lost you
It feels like years
Yes, it seems so long
Girl, since you've been gone
And I just can't go on
If you won't see me (You won't see me)
You won't see me (You won't see me)
Your line's engaged
I have had enough
So act your age
We have lost the time

And I will lose my mind
