In the chilly hours and minutes
Of uncertainty, I want to be
In the warm hold of your loving mind

To feel you all around me
And to take your hand, along the sand
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind

When sundown pales the sky
I want to hide a while, behind your smile
And everywhere I'd look, your eyes I'd find

For me to love you now
Would be the sweetest thing
That would make me sing
Ah, but I may as well, try and catch the wind

When rain has hung the leaves with tears
I want you near, to kill my fears
To help me to leave all my blues behind

For standin' in your heart
Is where I want to be, and I long to be
Ah, but I may as well, try and catch the wind

Ah, but I may as well, try and catch the wind

473 – The Beatles – I'm looking trough you (1965)

You don't look different, but you have changed.

Paul cantou e tocou baixo. John fez backing vocals e tocou violão.

A letra:

I'm looking through you, where did you go?
I thought I knew you, what did I know?
You don't look different, but you have changed
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Your lips are moving, I cannot hear
Your voice is soothing, but the words aren't clear
You don't sound different, I've learned the game
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight

You're thinking of me, the same old way
You were above me, but not today
The only difference is you're down there
I'm looking through you, and you're nowhere

Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight

I'm looking through you, where did you go
I thought I knew you, what did I know
You don't look different, but you have changed
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Yeah
Oh baby I'm changed
Ah I'm looking through you
Yeah I'm looking through you

A letra:

She's a must to avoid
A complete impossibility
She's a must to avoid
Better take it from me

You'll think she's a prize at the start (Prize at the start)
But take my advice, play it smart (Just play it smart)
She's nothin' but trouble
Better cut out on the double
Before she gets into your heart

She's a must to avoid
A complete impossibility
She's a must to avoid
Better take it from me

When you stare into her pretty blue eyes (Into her eyes)
There's no way to see through her disguise (Through her disguise)
But don't try to love her, 'cause you'll quickly discover
You're trapped in the web of her lies

She's a must to avoid
A complete impossibility
She's a must to avoid
Better take it from me

Her lips look inviting, it's true (Oh, yes, that's true)
But lots of other guys have felt like you do (Felt like you do)
She'll build up your hopes, and when you need her the most
That's when she'll say goodbye to you

She's a must to avoid
A complete impossibility
She's a must to avoid
Better take it from me

A letra:

Everybody talkin' 'bout the seventh son
In the whole wide world there is only one
And I'm the one, I'm the one
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son
I can tell your future, it will come to pass
I can do things to you make your heart feel glad
Look in the sky, predict the rain
Tell when a woman's got another man
I'm the one, oh I'm the one
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son
I can talk these words that will sound so sweet
They will even make your little heart skip a beat
Heal the sick, raise the dead
Make the little girls talk outta their heads
I'm the one, oh I'm the one
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son

I can talk these words that will sound so sweet
They will even make your little heart skip a beat
Heal the sick, raise the dead
And make the little girls talk outta their heads
I'm the one, oh I'm the one
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son
I'm the one, hey, hey
I'm the one
Oh, I'm the one, babe
Oooo, I'm the one
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son
I'm the one, I'm the one
The one they call the seventh son

470 – The Beatles – Think for yourself (1965)

George Harrison cantou e tocou guitarra ritmica. John fez backing vocal e tocou um órgão Vox Continental. Paul fez backing vocal, tocou baixo e baixo com fuzz. Ringo tocou bateria, maracas e pandeiro.

A letra:

I've got a word or two
To say about the things that you do
You're telling all those lies
About the good things that we can have
If we close our eyes

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
Think for yourself
Cos I won't be there with you

I left you far behind
The ruins of the life that you have in mind
And though you still can't see
I know your mind's made up
You're gonna cause more misery

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
Think for yourself
Cos I won't be there with you

Although your mind's opaque
Try thinking more if just for your own sake
The future still looks good
And you've got time to rectify
All the things that you should

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
Think for yourself
Cos I won't be there with you

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
Think for yourself
Cos I won't be there with you
Think for yourself
Cos I won't be there with you

469 – The Who – My generation (1965)

Uma das frases mais conhecidas e repetidas da músicas é: “I hope I die before I get old”, ou, quero morrer antes de ficar velho. É baseada em rhythm and blues, em call and response.

O instrumental reflete a letra: rápido e agressivo.

Roger Daltrey fez os vocais principais, Pete Townshend fez backing vocals e tocou guitarra solo, John Entwistle tocou baixo e fez backing vocals e Keith Moon tocou bateria.

A letra:

People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
And don't try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
And don't try to d-dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a b-big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation
This is my generation, baby

People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we g-g-get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Yeah, I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

This is my generation

468 – The Yardbirds – Heart full of soul (1965)

A letra:

Sick at heart and lonely,
deep in dark despair.
Thinking one thought only
where is she tell me where.
And if she says to you
she don't love me
just give her my message
tell her of my plea

And I know if she had me back again
well I would never make her sad.
I've gotta heart full of soul.

She's been gone such a long time
longer than I can bear
but if she says she wants me
tell her that I'll be there
And if she says to you
she don't love me
just give her my message
tell her of my plea.

467 – The Beatles – Drive my car (1965)

É a primeira canção do Lado A.

Ele responde que “His prospects are good”, ela responde que “Working for peanuts is all very fine, but that she can show him a better time”.

O refrão dizia “You can buy me diamond rigns”, um clichê que eles haviam usado antes em Can't buy me love e I feel fine. John então disse que o tema seria Drive my car e a partir daí a letra veio fácil.

John somente cantou. George Harrison fez backing vocal e guitarra solo em todas as partes, menos no solo em si. Ringo tocou bateria, sino e pandeiro.

A letra:

Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said baby, "Can't you see
I wanna be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between"

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you

I told a girl that my prospects were good
And she said baby, "It's understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time"

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you

I told that girl I can start right away
And she said, "Listen baby I got something to say
I got no car and it's breaking my heart
But I've found a driver and that's a start"

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah (fade out)

466 – Herman's Hermits – Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely daughter (1965)

I gotta dream on no Lado B.

I'm Henry VIII, I am.

A letra:

Mrs. Brown, you've got a lovely daughter
Girls as sharp as her are something rare
But it's sad, she doesn't love me now
She's made it clear enough, it ain't no good to pine

She wants to return those things I bought her
Tell her she can keep them just the same
Things have changed, she doesn't love me now
She's made it clear enough, it ain't no good to pine

Walkin' about
Even in a crowd, well
You'll pick her out
Makes a bloke feel so proud

If she finds that I've been 'round to see you ('round to see you)
Tell her that I'm well and feelin' fine (feelin' fine, ooh)
Don't let on, don't say she's broke my heart
I'd go down on my knees but it's no good to pine

Walkin' about
Even in a crowd, well
You'll pick her out
Makes a bloke feel so proud

If she finds that I've been 'round to see you ('round to see you)
Tell her that I'm well and feeling fine (feelin' fine, ooh)
Don't let on, don't say she's broke my heart
I'd go down on my knees but it's no good to pine

465 – Johnny Rivers – Midnight special (1965)

A letra:

You get up in the mornin', you hear the ding dong ring
Now you look up on the table, you see the same darn thing
You find no food upon the table and no pork up in the pan
But if you say a thing about it, you be in trouble with the man

Ah, let the Midnight Special shine a light on me
Oh, let the Midnight Special shine its everlovin' light on me

Now if you're ever in Houston, oh, you better walk right
Aw, you better not gamble boy, I say you better not fight
Or the sheriff he will grab you, and the boys will pull you down
And then before you know it, you're penitentary bound

Ah, let the Midnight Special shine a light on me
Let the Midnight Special shine its everlovin' light on me

Here comes Miss Lucy, how in the world did you know?
I can tell by her apron and by the clothes she wore
An umbrella on her shoulder, she got a paper in her hand
She come to see the warden to try to free her man

So, let the Midnight Special shine a light on me
Ah, let the Midnight Special shine its everlovin' light on me
I said, let the Midnight Special shine a light on me
Ah, let the Midnight Special shine its everlovin' light on me
