Março de 1967 no disco Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos
Jobim.
A letra:
In my
loneliness,
when you're
gone and I'm all by myself
and I need
your caress
I just think
of you,
and the
thought of you holding me near
Makes my
loneliness soon disappear.
Though
you're far away,
I have only
to close my eyes
and you are
back to stay
I just close
my eyes
and the
sadness that missinig you brings
Soon is gone
and this heart of mine sings
Yes I
love you so,
and that for
me is all I need to know
I will wait
for you
till the sun
falls from out of the sky,
for what
else can I do
I will wait
for you,
meditating
how sweet life will be when you come back to me

A letra:
This is the end Beautiful friend
This is the end My only friend, the end
Of our
elaborate plans, the end Of everything that stands, the end No
safety or surprise, the end I'll never look into your
eyes...again
Can you picture what will be So limitless
and free Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand In
a...desperate land
Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain And
all the children are insane All the children are insane Waiting
for the summer rain, yeah
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby Weird scenes inside the gold
mine Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the
snake To the lake, the ancient lake, baby The snake is long,
seven miles Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold
The
west is the best The west is the best Get here, and we'll do
the rest
The blue bus is callin' us The blue bus is
callin' us Driver, where you taken' us
The killer awoke
before dawn, he put his boots on He took a face from the ancient
gallery And he walked on down the hall He went into the room
where his sister lived, and...then he Paid a visit to his
brother, and then he He walked on down the hall, and And he
came to a door...and he looked inside Father, yes son, I want to
kill you Mother...I want to...fuck you
C'mon baby, take a
chance with us C'mon baby, take a chance with us C'mon baby,
take a chance with us And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock On a blue bus Doin' a blue rock C'mon,
yeah
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
This is the
end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the
end
It hurts to set you free But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies The end of nights we tried
to die
Escrita
Paul conta
nome da menina era Melanie Coe. Ela tinha 17 anos na época e fugiu
com o namorado.
Em abril de
1967. McCartmey visitou Brian Wilson em Los Angeles e tocou She's
leaving home pra ele e a esposa no piano. Ambos choraram de emoção.
Ned Rorem disse que She's leaving home é tão linda quanto qualquer
composição que Schubert fez.
Foi
regravada por Harry Nilsson, Richie Havens, Bryan Ferry, Bee Gees, Al
Jarreau, Billy Bragg, Carrie Underwood, Cheap Trick, entre outros.
A letra:
Wednesday
morning at five o'clock as the day begins Silently closing her
bedroom door Leaving the note that she hoped would say more She
goes downstairs to the kitchen clutching her handkerchief Quietly
turning the backdoor key Stepping outside she is free
She
(We gave her most of our lives) Is leaving (Sacrificed most of our
lives) Home (We gave her everything money could buy) She's
leaving home after living alone For so many years (Bye
bye)
Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing
gown Picks up the letter that's lying there Standing alone at
the top of the stairs She breaks down and cries to her husband
"Daddy our baby's gone Why would she treat us so
thoughtlessly? How could she do this to me?"
She (We
never thought of ourselves) Is leaving (Never a thought for
ourselves) Home (We struggled hard all our lives to get by) She's
leaving home after living alone For so many years (Bye
bye)
Friday morning at nine o'clock she is far away Waiting
to keep the appointment she made Meeting a man from the motor
trade
She (What did we do that was wrong) Is having (We
didn't know it was wrong) Fun (Fun is the one thing that money
can't buy) Something inside that was always denied For so many
years (Bye bye)
Columbia Records.
então namorada do escultor Armand Vaillanbcourt.
Suzanne
convidou-o pra visitá-la no apartamento dela perto do Velho Porto em
Montréal, onde ela serviu chá e eles saíam pra andar no Velho
A letra:
Suzanne takes
you down to her place near the river You can hear the boats go by
You can spend the night beside her And you know that she's
half crazy But that's why you want to be there And she feeds
you tea and oranges That come all the way from China And just
when you mean to tell her That you have no love to give her Then
she gets you on her wavelength And she lets the river answer
That you've always been her lover And you want to travel with
her And you want to travel blind And you know that she will
trust you For you've touched her perfect body with your mind.
And Jesus was a sailor When he walked upon the water And
he spent a long time watching From his lonely wooden tower And
when he knew for certain Only drowning men could see him He
said "All men will be sailors then Until the sea shall free
them" But he himself was broken Long before the sky
would open Forsaken, almost human He sank beneath your wisdom
like a stone And you want to travel with him And you want to
travel blind And you think maybe you'll trust him For he's
touched your perfect body with his mind.
Now Suzanne takes
your hand And she leads you to the river She is wearing rags
and feathers From Salvation Army counters And the sun pours
down like honey On our lady of the harbour And she shows you
where to look Among the garbage and the flowers There are
heroes in the seaweed There are children in the morning They
are leaning out for love And they will lean that way forever
While Suzanne holds the mirror And you want to travel with
her And you want to travel blind And you know that you can
trust her For she's touched your perfect body with her mind.

A letra:
Oh, I could
hide 'neath the wings Of the bluebird as she sings. The six
o'clock alarm would never ring. But it rings and I rise, Wipe
the sleep out of my eyes. My shavin' razor's cold and it
stings.
Cheer up, Sleepy Jean. Oh, what can it mean. To
a daydream believer And a homecoming queen.
You once
thought of me As a white knight on a steed. Now you know how
happy I can be. Oh, and our good times starts and end Without
dollar one to spend. But how much, baby, do we really need.
Cheer
up, Sleepy Jean. Oh, what can it mean. To a daydream
believer And a homecoming queen. Cheer up, Sleepy Jean. Oh,
what can it mean. To a daydream believer And a homecoming
queen.
[Instrumental interlude]
Cheer up, Sleepy
Jean. Oh, what can it mean. To a daydream believer And a
homecoming queen. [Repeat and fade]

A letra:
Day after day,
alone on the hill The man with the foolish grin is keeping
perfectly still But nobody wants to know him They can see that
he's just a fool And he never gives an answer
But the fool
on the hill Sees the sun going down And the eyes in his
head See the world spinning around
Well on the way, head in
a cloud The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud But
nobody ever hears him Or the sound he appears to make And he
never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill Sees the sun
going down And the eyes in his head See the world spinning
around
And nobody seems to like him They can tell what he
wants to do And he never shows his feelings
But the fool on
the hill Sees the sun going down And the eyes in his head See
the world spinning around
He never listens to them He knows
that they're the fools They don't like him
The fool on the
hill Sees the sun going down And the eyes in his head See
the world spinning around

When
the garden flowers Baby, are dead, yes And your mind, your
mind Is so full of red
Don't you want somebody to
love? Don't you need somebody to love? Wouldn't you love
somebody to love? You better find somebody to love
Your
eyes, I say your eyes May look like his Yeah, but in your head,
baby I'm afraid you don't know where it is
Don't you want
somebody to love? Don't you need somebody to love? Wouldn't you
love somebody to love? You better find somebody to love
Tears
are running They're all running down your breast And your

We skipped the
light fandango turned cartwheels 'cross the floor I was feeling
kinda seasick but the crowd called out for more The room was
humming harder as the ceiling flew away When we called out for
another drink the waiter brought a tray And so it was that
later as the miller told his tale that her face, at first just
ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale
She said,
'There is no reason and the truth is plain to see.' But I
wandered through my playing cards and would not let her be one
of sixteen vestal virgins who were leaving for the coast and
although my eyes were open they might have just as well've been
closed
And so it was
that later as the miller told his tale that her face, at first
just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale

you been there Often enough to know What did you see when you
were there Nothing that doesn't show

man, too You keep all your money in a big brown bag inside a
zoo What a thing to do Baby you're a rich man Baby you're a

How
does it feel to be One of the beautiful people Tuned to a
natural E Happy to be that way Now that you've found another
key What are you going to play
Baby
you're a rich man Baby you're a rich man Baby you're a rich
man, too You keep all your money in a big brown bag inside a

Reino Unido.
É a canção

A letra:
It's gettin' near dawn, When lights close their tired eyes. I'll
soon be with you my love, To give you my dawn surprise. I'll be
with you darling soon, I'll be with you when the stars start
falling.
I've been waiting so long To be where I'm going In
the sunshine of your love.
I'm with you my love, The
light's shinin' through on you. Yes, I'm with you my love, It's
the morning and just we two. I'll stay with you darling now, I'll
stay with you till my seas are dried up.
I've been waiting so
long To be where I'm going In the sunshine of your love.
I'm
with you my love, The light's shinin' through on you. Yes, I'm
with you my love, It's the morning and just we two. I'll stay

A letra:
Have you seen
her face her eyes reflect the colors in the sky A warm familiar
place to be swept into Whenever she's close by makes me wonder
why
Run by don't turn back Can't hide from that look in her
eye
Must be the way she walks a style made up to capture all
she needs No time to spend on loose talk If your luck runs
right she might see you tonight anything in sight
Run by don't
turn back Can't hide from that look in her eyes
You'll find
your locked in her spell all the sights and sounds Your senses
will be found That only time will tell how much love can be to
wait so patiently Wait and see
Run by don't turn back Can't
hide from that look in her eyes
Escrita por
Paul McCartney, embora tenha sido creditada à dupla
mensagens veladas pros amigos encontrarem.
Começou a
Peppers.
Paul cantou,
tocou piano e baixo. John fez backing vocals, tocou violão base e
percussão. George Harrison fez backing vocals, guitarra solo e
percussão. Ringo tocou bateria e percussão. Mal Evans e Neil
Aspinnal tocaram percussão.
