Escrita por Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb e Robin Gibb, foi gravada em 26 e 27 de outubro de 1968 e lançada em 1969 no album Odessa. Foi inspirada em Eleanor Rigby.

Robin não participou da gravação. Barry cantou e tocou guitarra ritmica. Maurice cantou e fez backing vocals, tocou baixo, piano e guitarra ritmica. Colin Peterson tocou bateria.

Escrita por Paul McCartney mas creditada à dupla Lennon/McCartney, foi gravada em 25 a 30 de julho de 1969 e lançada em 26 de setembro de 1969 no disco abbey Road.

Paul disse que foi inspirada nas fãs que passavam os dias na porta do estúdio e na porta das casas dos membros dos Beatles. Um grupo delas adentrou na casa de Paul na St. John's Wood. Viram uma escada no quintal e entraram pela janela do banheiro. Elas roubaram fotos e roupas.

Paul cantou e fez backing vocals e tocou baixo. John tocou violão de 12 cordas e fez backing vocals. George Harrison tocou guitarra solo e fez backing vocals ringo tocou bateria, pandeiro, maracas e chicote.

Escrita por Joni Mitchell, foi lançada em 1969 no disco Clouds, o segundo LP da cantora e compositora. Já havia sido lançada por Judy Collins em no começo de 1968 e Jennifer Warnes também gravou-a em 1968. Mas cedo ainda foi gravada por Dave Van Ronk em 1967. Mas a versão que escolhemos foi a da própria compositora.

Joni Mitchell morava na vizinhança chamada Chelsea, em NYC, em um quarto alugado. O primeiro verso fala da decoração do apartamento.

Chelsea Clinton, filha de Bill Clinton e Hillary teve seu nome em homenagem à essa canção, que o casal ouvia enquanto estavam em Londres.

Golden Slumbers – Escrita por Paul McCartney mas creditada à dupla Lennon/McCartney, foi gravada em julho e agosto de 1969 e lançada no disco Abbey Road, em 26 de setembro de 1969. Paul viu a partitura de Cradle Song na casa do seu pai e como não sabia ler música, ele criou sua própria música, que se transformou em Golden Slumbers. Paul cantou, John Lennon não estava presente. Além de cantar, Paul tocou piano. George Harrison tocou baixo e Ringo tocou bateria e Timpani. John estava hospitalizado devido à um acidente de carro.

Carry that weight – Escrita também por Paul McCartney e creditada à dupla Lennon/McCartney, foi gravada junto com Golden slumbers. Possui um uníssono de todos os Beatles no refrão, o que foi uma raridade. Os vocais de John foram adicionados depois. Aqui Paul cantou, tocou piano, guitarra ritmica e vocal no refrão. Escrita por John Lennon, foi gravada em 1 de junho de 1969 no quarto 1742 do Queen Elizabeth Hotel, em Montreal, Canada e lançada em 4 de julho de 1969 em um compacto que tinha Remember love como Lado B. Foi lançado pela Plastic Ono Band, sendo o primeiro compacto solo de John Lennon, lançado enquanto ainda era um Beatle. Se tornou um hino antiguerra durante os anos 70s. Chegou ao número 14 dos charts pop americanos e número 2 no Reino Unido.

Foi escrita durante o Bed-in feito por John e Yoko, na lua de mel deles em Montréal, Canadá. Um reporter o perguntou porque eles estavam recebendo-os na cama e o que queriam com isso, John respondeu que estavam apenas dando uma chance à paz. Várias celebridades estavam presentes na gravação, incluindo Petula Clark, Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg e Tommy Smothers, do Smothers Brothers que tocou violão junto com John.

Escrita por Elton John e Bernie Taupin, foi gravada em dezembro de 1968 no DJM Studios e lançada em 3 de junho de 1969. Antes de Elton John, ela foi lançada por Guy Darrell e por Roger James Cooke, em agosto de 1968.

Os únicos instrumentos que Elton gravou foi orgão e harpsichord, não teve nenhum músico que o acompanhasse nessa música. Fala de um pombo que é libertado pela mão humana, em uma metáfora de um relacionamento que se acaba e uma das partes está alegre por estar livre.
