Essa música, composta por Ralph Mooney e Charles Seals, foi lançada em maio de 1956, em forma de country music, por Ray Price. Se transformou num hit e num clássico honky tonk. Foi o primeiro hit de Price. Mooney, que tocou na banda de Waylon Jennings por mais de 20 anos, disse que ele pegou a ideia da música baseado no fato que sua esposa tinha o deixado, por causa dos seus problemas com o alcoolismo.
A versão que temos na seleçao foi gravada por Jerry Lee Lewis, também em 1956, pra Sun Records. Sam Phillips estava viajando e o seu assistente foi quem comandou a gravação.
Mas Bing Crosby, Chuk Berry, Patsy Cline, Trini Lopez, Willie Nelson, Van Morrison e Jerry Garcia já fizeram regravações desse clássico.
