42 – Little Richard – Ready Teddy (1956)

A música de número 42 dessa seleção foi escrita por John Marascalco e Robert Blackwell e ficou famosa na gravação de Little Richard, feita em 1956. E é justamente essa versão que temos aqui. Depois ela foi regravada por Buddy Holly e Elvis Presley, entre outros artistas. Hoje em dia ela é considerada um clássico do rock and roll.

Marascalco escreveu essa música enquanto estava sentado num campo de algodão, pois ele estava esperando por um amigo pra irem caçar coelhos. A música fala sobre uma garota que quer sexo, ou seja, quer um ready teddy.
