Sairia em compacto em 12 de janeiro de 1976 com Grow some funk of your own como duplo Lado A. Chegou ao número 14 no Billboard Hot100. A canção compara o assassinato de Jesse James, por seu companheiro de crimes Robert Ford, com o fracasso do casamento de Taupin com sua primeira esposa, Maxine Feibelman. Ela era a moça da canção Tiny dancer.

Escrita por Troy Seals, foi gravada por Elvis em 12 de março de 1975 em Hollywood, California e foi lançada em 7 de maio de 1975 no disco Today. Sairis depois em compacto, com Bringing it back como Lado A. Inicialmente foi lançada por Charlie Rich e lançada em 1974 por ele. A versão de Elvis, no entanto, chegou ao número 33 no chart Billboard Country. Tem três guitarristas: James Burton, Jon Wilkinson e Charlie Hodge. Duke Bardwell tocou baixo. Ronnie Tutt na bateria. Glen D Hardin e Tony Brown tocaram piano. David Briggs e Greg Gordon no clavinet. Mais tarde, fizeram uma mixagem e fizeram overdub em quase todos os instrumentos. 1536 – Chris de Burgh – A spaceman came travelling (1975)

 

Escrita por Chris de Burgh, foi lançada no segundo disco de Chris de Burgh, chamado Spanish train and other stories, em 1 de novembro de 1975. Se transformou em uma canção popular de Natal. Quando lançada em compacto, em 1976, chegou ao número 1 na Irlanda e n;umero 22 no Canadá. De Burgh estava quebrado e morando de favor quando leu o livro Chariots of the Gods, de Erich von Daniken. O livro fez que ele pensasse “E se a estrela de Belém fosse uma nave espacial e se tivesse uma força benigna ou entidade no universo, que mantem um olho no mundo e nas coisas bobas que fazemos?” De Burgh era fã do poeta irlandês William Butler Yeats, que escreveu o livro The Second Coming, dizia que a cada 2000 anos, ocorria um novo cataclisma no mundo. Ele viu o nascimento de Cristo como um evento, e que no ano 2000 algo grandioso similar iria acontecer. Ele imaginou a cena do nascimento, uma coisa por cima, os pastores nos campo, uma musica éterea. O som do espaço é feito por um string synthesizer.

1535 – Joan Baez – Diamonds and rust (1975)

 

Escrita por Joan Baez, foi gravada em janeiro de 1975 e lançada em julho de 1975, no disco de mesmo nome. Ela fala de uma ligação inesperada que recebeu de Bob Dylan, que a remete à dez anos antes, para um hotel no Greenwich Village, em torno de 1964 ou 1965. Ela lembra que deu a ele um par de abotoaduras de camisa. Chegou ao número 35 do Billboard Hot100. Foi regravada pelo Judas Priest, entre outros artistas.

1532 – Eagles – One of these nights (1975)


Escrita por Don Henley e Glenn Frey, foi gravada entre 1974 e 1975 e lançada em 19 de maio de 1975 no compacto com Visions no Lado B. Saiiria também no disco de mesmo nome, em 10 de junho de 1975. Seria o quarto disco da banda. Chegou ao número 1 dos charts Billboard Hot 100. Henley é o vocalista dos versos e Randy Meisner canta as harmonias mais altas no refrão. Don Felder faz o solo de guitarra. Foi inspirada nos Spinners e Al Green. Frey disse que nessa canção houve uma melhoria radical em termos de composição da dupla. Ele disse que é a gravação preferida dele dos Eagles. Ele disse que se tivesse que pegar uma só, não seria Hotel California ou Take it easy, seria One of these nights. 1531 – Bob Dylan – You're a big girl now (1975)




Escrita por Bob Dylan, foi gravada em 27 de dezembro de 1974, no Sound 80 Studio, em Minneapolis, Minnesota. Foi lançada em janeiro de 1975, no disco Blood on the tracks. Fala da história de dois amantes que estão se separando. Na verdade, a maioria do disco foi sobre separação. Nessa canção, ele pede outra chance. Não teve baixista na gravação. Dylan canta, toca violão e gaita. Kevin Odegaard e Chris Weber tocan guitarras. Greg Inhofer toca piano e Billy Berg toca bateria. Rolling Stone magazine disse que era a canção 91 da lista das 100 greatest Bob Dylan songs. A frase “Love is so simple, to quote a phrase”, vem do filme Children of Paradise, de Marcel Carné. O filme foi apresentado à Dylan pelo seu professor de pintura, Norman Raeben.

1529 – Led Zeppelin – Down by the seaside (1975)


Escrita por Jimmy Page e Robert Plant, foi gravada em 1971 no Island Studios, em Londres, e seria utilizada pro Led Zeppelin IV. Mas como não foi, usaram no Physical Graffiti e foi lançada em 24 de fevereiro de 1975. Foi escrita no cottage Bron-Yr-Aur. Seria uma canção acústica, com uma clara influencia de Neil Young. Virou elétrica, com uma mudança de lenta pra rápida e repetindo essa idéia. Robert Plant tocou gaita e cantou. Jimmy Page tocou violão, guitarra, lap steel e slide guitar. John Paul Jones tocou baixo, bandolim, violão e teclado. John Bonham tocou bateria e percussão.
