Escrita por Lou Reed, foi gravada em 31 de agosto de 1972, em Londres, tendo David Bowie como produtor e foi lançada em 8 de novembro de 1972 no disco Transformer e depois foi lançada em compacto com Walk on the wild side como Lado A.

Foi escrita após um dia com sua noiva Bettye Kronstad, que viria a ser sua esposa. Eles passaram o dis no Central Park.

Lou Reed cantou, Mick Ronson tocou piano, David Bowie tocou teclado, Trevor Bolder tocou trompete, Herbie Flowers tocou tuba, Klaus Voorman tocou baixo e John Halsey tocou bateria.

Foi regravada pelo Duran Duran e Susan Boyle, entre outros artistas.
