Escrita por Neil Young, foi gravada na UCLA, em 30 de janeiro de 1971, no Royce Hall e lançada em 1 de fevereiro de 1972 no disco Harvest.

A letra fala dos efeitos vício em heroina nos músicos que ele conhecia, incluindo seu amigo de Crazy Horse Danny Whitten, que morreu de overdose ainda em 1972.

Foi regravada pelo Duran Duran, Simple Minds, The Pretenders, Flea, Tori Amos, Andrea Corr, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews, Jewel e Gregg Allman, entre outros artistas.
