240 – Bob Dylan – Don’t think twice, it’s all right (1963)

Escrita por Bob Dylan, foi lançada pela Columbia Records em um compacto simples como Lado B de Blowin’ in the wind. Foi lançada tambem no album The Freewhellin’ Bob Dylan. 

A canção foi escrita por Bob, quando sua namorada Suze Rotolo, da foto acima na época com Dylan, decidiu ficar mais tempo na Italia, prolongando uma curta viagem. A melodia é de uma velha cancao chamada Who’s gonna buy your chickens whem I’m gone? 

A cançao foi usada no seriado Mad Men, Friday night Lights, entre outros. 

Foi regravada por Peter, Paul and Mary em 1963, Bobby Darin, The Seekers, Arnaldo Batista, Cher, Kesha, Johnny Cash, Jackie DeShannon, Rory Gallagher, Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Billy Bragg, Brian Ferry, Arlo Guthrie, The Kingston Trio, Billy Paul, John Mayer, The Allman Brothers, entre dezenas de outros artistas.

A gravacao de Peter, Paul and Mary foi a que teve maior sucesso commercial. Chegou ao número 9 dos charts pop americanos. The Four Seasons gravou uma versao cover em 1965, chegando ao número 12 dos charts, com essa versao que aparentemente era uma brincadeira e venderam mais de um milhao de copias. 

Steel Train gravaram uma versao em 2005 pra um tributo à Bob Dylan, que ate hoje tocam nos concertos. Eric Clapton tocou em 1993, no show de 30 anos de carreira de Bob Dylan. A versao de Kesha é de 2010.
