Canção gravada por Ricky Nelson que chegaria ao número 6 dos charts pop americanos. Fala de um cara que fez tudo o que pode pra ficar com a garota, mas agora é com ela. Ele não pode fazer mais nada. 

Pede pra ela se resolver e fazer o que tem que fazer, afinal ela sabe como ele se sente e agora é com ela. Ele diz que está claro que ele daria tudo o que tem pra que ela fique perto dele e nunca o deixe sozinho. 

Ele diz que precisa do amor dela, e que ela seja justa e que deixe ele saber da verdade e que tem esperança que ela queira ficar com ele. Ele colocou as cartas na mesa, de forma muito clara, e que está pronto para amá-la devotadamente.

Escrita por Del Shannon e Maron Mackenzie, chegou ao número 12 nos charts pop americanos. Depois Runaway que foi número 1, Hats off to Larry, que foi número 5, Little town flirt, foi o último hit de Shannon. 

Depois disso, Shannon  não conseguiu mais manter o sucesso nos Estados Unidos, embora mantendo um sucesso enorme no Reino Unido. Inclusive tendo se tornado ídolo de John Lennon. Shannon viria a ser o primeiro americano a gravar um cover dos Beatles, e foi na música From me to you.

275 – Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas – I’ll be on my way (1963)

Escrita por John Lennon e Paul McCartney, foi gravada por Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas. Foi lançada em 26 de abril de 1963, num compacto simples que tinha Do you want to know a secret, também de Lennon e McCartney, no Lado A. Teve George Martin como produtor. E também tinham Brian Epstein como manager. 

Chegou ao número 2 no Reino Unido, ao mesmo tempo que From me to you dos Beatles estava na primeira posição. Será que John e Paul eram foda? Segundo John, I’ll be on my way foi escrita somente por Paul.

I’ll be on my way foi a primeira canção que Lennon/McCartney deram pra alguém. A música tem muita influência do trabalho de Buddy Holly. O Personagem se faz de feliz com o fim do relacionamento, similar ao personagem de It doesn’t matter anymore, de 1959, de Buddy Holly.  

Os Beatles fizeram uma gravação em 4 de abril de 1963 de I’ll be on my way, lançada somente em 30 de novembro de 1994, no álbum Live at BBC. Foi gravada no BBC Paris Theatre, em Londres e foi ao no show de radio Side ny side, de 24 de junho de 1963. Essa é a única gravação dos Beatles de I’ll be on my way. Tem vocal conjunto de John e Paul.

Escrita por Neil Levenson, foi lançada por Randy and The Rainbows em 1963. Em 1977, Blondie gravou uma versão mudando o nome pra Denis. Randy and The Rainbowa trabalharam com os produtores do The Tokens. A canção chegou ao número 10 dos charts pop americanos. 

Denise foi inspirada numa amiga de infância de Neil Levenson, chamada Denice Lafrak. 

A versão de Blondie chamada Denis, foi lançada em fevereiro de 1978 e chegou ao número 2 no Reino Unido e ficou TOP 20 na maioria dos países da Europa, incluindo um número 1 na Holanda.
