Fala da história de dois amantes que estão se separando. Na verdade, a maioria do disco foi sobre separação. Nessa canção, ele pede outra chance. Não teve baixista na gravação. Dylan canta, toca violão e gaita. Kevin Odegaard e Chris Weber tocan guitarras. Greg Inhofer toca piano e Billy Berg toca bateria. Rolling Stone magazine disse que era a canção 91 da lista das 100 greatest Bob Dylan songs. A frase “Love is so simple, to quote a phrase”, vem do filme Children of Paradise, de Marcel Carné. 1528 – Bruce Springsteen - Meeting across the river (1975)

 

Escrita por Bruce Springsteen, foi gravada em 18 de julho de 1975, no Record Plant, em New York City e lançada em 25 de agosto de 1975 no disco Born to run. Apareceu também no Lado B do compacto que tinha Born to run como Lado A. É um personagem obscuro falando sob um trumpete assustador tocado por Randy Brecker, um piano tocado por Roy Bittan e um baixo em pé tocado por Richard Davis. Dá uma sensação de um “Film noir”. O personagem cruza o túnel sob o rio Hudson pra se encontrar com outro bandido mais poderoso em New York City. O tema é um criminoso de baixa categoria, que está com pouca sorte, que possui uma última chance de se dar bem depois desse encontro. Ele e seu amigo Eddie. O narrador está desesperado. Ele dinheiro e carona à Eddie. A namorada dele está ameaçando deixá-lo porque ele roubou o rádio dela pra vender. Se eles não tiverem sucesso, vão se fuder de verde e amarelo e o tom da canção deixa a entender que eles não terão sucesso. Mesmo ele não tendo muto talento pra ser bandido, o pagamento de 2 mil dólares pelo trabalho faz com que ele aceite o trabalho. Pensa ele que assim a namorada vai ficar com ele. Sairia também em compacto, com I'm so afraid como Lado B, em 24 de setembro de 1975. Christine era vocalista e tecladista da banda. Foi o primeiro compacto a chegar ao Billboard Hot 100 desde Oh Well, acabando com um hiato de 6 anos da banda nesse chart. Ela compôs a música usando um piano elétrico Hohner, em um apartameno pequeno em Malibu, California, onde ela e o marido John McVie (baixista da banda) estavam morando após concluírem uma turnê pra divulgar o disco anterior. Ela disse que escreveu a letra pra falar do relacionamento de trabalho com outro membro da banda, Lindsay Buckingham. Foi produzida por Jimmy Page. Jimjy queria que a música fosse somente instrumental, mas Robert colocou letra posteriormente. A letra foi dedicada à uma velha namorada dele, dez anos antes, que o fez escolher entre ela ou a música.
