Escrita por Bruce Springsteen, foi gravada entre março de 1979 e agosto de 1980, no Power Station Studio, em New York City. Foi lançada no disco The River, o quinto disco de Bruce, em 17 de outubro de 1980. Foi produzida por Bruce Springsteen, Steven Van Zandt e Jon Landau. Trata-se de uma canção mais devagar, guiada pelo romantismo obscuro, com piano, orgão e sax. O narrador perdeu seu amor verdadeiro. Ele descreve a dor que sente enquanto dirige pela noite lembrando dela e pedindo pra ela voltar pra ele. Bruc cantou, tocou guitarra de 6 e 12 cordas, gaita e piano. Roy Bittan tocou piano e orgao e fez backing vocals. Clarence Clemons tocou sax, percussão e fez backing vocals. Danny Federici tocou orgao. Garry Tallent tocou baixo. Steve Van Zandt tocou violão, guitarra, backing vocals e harmonias vocais. Max Weinberg tocou bateria.
