Escrita por Topper Headon, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon e Joe Strummer, foi
gravada em 1981 e lançada em 14 de maio de 1982, no disco Combat rock, o quinto
disco da banda. Sairia também em compacto, um duplo Lado A, com Straight to
hell no outro lado, em 17 de setembro de 1982. Foi produzida pelo
próprio Clash. A melodia e estrutura
de acordes foram inspiradas em Little Latin Lupe Lu, de Bill Medley, de 1962.
Mick Jones cantou. Joe Strumme e Joe Ely fizeram os backing vocals em espanhol.
O canal VH1 disse que ela era a número 42 das 100 greatest hard rock
songs of all time. Chegou ao
número 45 do Billboard Hot 100. Número 17 no Reino Unido. Número 16 na Irlanda.
Número 37 na Austrália e número 40 no Canadá.
