Escrita por Harlan Howard, foi gravada inicialmente por Johnny Cash em 1962, mas a nossa escolha foi a versão de Ray Charles de 1963. A versão de Charles chegou ao número 4 dos charts pop americanos.

Fala de um fazendeiro pobre que luta para sustentar sua família, falando das suas contas, necessidades da familia, animais que não produzem e uma terra ruim, Vai pedir ajuda ao seu irmao, mas ele ja tá vindo pedir dinheiro a ele. No final, ele diz que vai embora dali pra mudar de vida.

Alem de Cash e Charles, foi regravada pelo Nazareth, Wanda Jackson, entre outros artistas.
